BOLS Blackberry Flavored Brandy

BOLS Blackberry Brandy is a deep-red blackberry liqueur from Bols of Amsterdam — smooth and sweet with ripe blackberries throughout and clear brandy character on the finish.

The Bols family began producing liqueurs in a small Amsterdam distillery called ’t Lootsje. Lucas Bols, grandson of the founder, became a major shareholder in the Dutch East India trading company in 1700, giving him first choice of newly arrived exotic herbs and spices and helping him create over 300 liqueur and spirit recipes. Bols also pioneered the Dutch genever made from long-fermented rye, wheat, and corn; the brand’s more subtle genever recipe played an important role in the American cocktail revolution and featured in roughly one of every four cocktails in Jerry Thomas’s 1862 cocktail recipe book.
