Fort Hamilton Double Barrel Rye Whiskey
$44.99
Fort Hamilton Double Barrel Rye is a traditional North-Eastern American rye from Alex Clark Spirits — made with no corn in the mash, purely rye, malted barley, yeast, and water, then matured in two barrels for added oak depth and a rich, full, robust flavor.
Fort Hamilton takes its name and spirit from August 1775, when Alexander Hamilton’s Hearts of Oak militia raided lower Manhattan under fire from HMS Asia, seizing British cannons to form America’s first artillery company. The rye is non-chill filtered and aged in heavily charred new American white oak on the Brooklyn waterfront — where, as tradition dictates for Eastern ryes, the warehouse is heated in winter to keep maturation moving. The double-barrel maturation builds on the brand’s grain-forward profile with deeper barrel character.
