Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu “On The Way” 2019 is a Japanese single malt from Ichiro Akuto’s Chichibu Distillery — part of the acclaimed “On The Way” range. Ichiro Akuto is a celebrated figure in Japanese whisky whose family has been in the alcoholic beverage industry since the 1600s; his father ran the Hanyu distillery, and Ichiro went on to found Chichibu, acquire the remaining Hanyu stock, and build one of the most sought-after names in world whisky.

Chichibu, founded in 2008, has become one of the most collected craft distilleries in the world — its limited single-cask and small-batch releases command intense demand. The “On The Way” range represents Chichibu’s evolving house style as the young distillery developed its maturing stock.
