Calirosa was founded in 2021 in collaboration with Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo as a lifestyle tequila bridging Mexican agave tradition and California wine culture. The 30-day California red wine barrel finishing is the defining production decision: long enough to extract the wine’s fruit character and color compounds, short enough to remain technically a blanco (blancos can rest up to 60 days without becoming reposado). The resulting pink-tinted spirit carries a berry and fruit note from the red wine residue alongside the natural fresh agave character of the double distillation — producing a distinctive flavor and visual profile suited to both cocktails and sipping over ice.
