Machetazo Salmiana Joven Mezcal

Machetazo Salmiana Joven is a mezcal made from wild salmiana agave grown in San Luis Potosí — a desert agave that takes about seven years to reach maturity. The desert climate of Charcas, San Luis Potosí gives way to an aroma of fresh vegetation and woody flavors.

Mezcal Machetazo follows a traditional production process passed down through generations, with varieties from three Mexican states: Guerrero, Oaxaca, and San Luis Potosí. The name refers to the swing of the machete (“machetazo”) with which the mezcal masters mark the start of the labor-intensive production process.
