Pelotón de la Muerte Pechuga Joven Mezcal Artesanal

$69.99

Description

Pelotón de la Muerte Pechuga Joven is a pechuga-style mezcal artesanal made from a field blend of wild Guerrero agaves — roasted and distilled together, with seasonal aromatics hung over the still on the second distillation. Made to the Obregón family recipe in Mazatlán, Guerrero.

The Pelotón de la Muerte label honors “El Doliente de Hidalgo,” the banner of the insurgent “squadron of death” in the Mexican War of Independence: the red represents the blood of the leader, the black cross the mourning, and the bones honor his remains. This pechuga is built on a maguey criollo y ancho blend (A. angustifolia rubescens and A. cupreata).
