Description

André Jacquart Champagne 1er Cru Rosé de Saignée Experience is a Premier Cru rosé Champagne made by the saignée (“bleeding”) method — a deep garnet-hued rosé produced by direct skin contact with red grapes rather than blending red and white wine, the more demanding and traditional approach to rosé Champagne.

For four generations, the Jacquart family produced Champagne grapes; in 1958 André Jacquart began producing his own estate-bottled Champagne in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger (Grand Cru). Since 2004 the house has been located in Vertus (Premier Cru), now run by the fifth generation — Marie Doyard and her brother Benoit, the grandchildren of André Jacquart. Their paternal grandfather, Maurice Doyard, was instrumental in the creation of the AOC Champagne.
