DSP CA 162 Citrus Hystrix Vodka

DSP CA 162 Citrus Hystrix Vodka is a craft-method infusion of real Malaysian Lime (limau purut) and its leaves — the leaves, also used in Thai cuisine, bring a deep aromatic richness to the infusion that bottled lime juice cannot replicate.

DSP CA 162 takes its name from the registration number of the original federal license obtained by Germain-Robin for its first distillery in 1982 on Eagle Rock Ranch west of Ukiah. The vodka comes from a collaboration between Ansley Coale of Craft Distillers (Germain-Robin co-founder) and Crispin Cain of Tamar Distillery; Crispin’s son Devin Cain led the fruit infusions, with first bottlings released in January 2014. The Citrus Hystrix expression sits alongside the Straight Vodka, Citrus Reticulata var. Sunshine (tangerines and tangelos), and Citrus Medica var. Sarcodactylis (Buddha’s hand) in the fruit-infused portfolio.
