La Medida Mezcal Arroqueno is a wild-varietal artisanal mezcal from the La Medida brand led by Julián Vidal Gómez Rodríguez — an unsung icon of Oaxacan mezcal for 40+ years. Arroqueno (Agave americana var. oaxacensis) is a large, slow-maturing wild Oaxacan agave that takes 15–20+ years to mature, producing a rich, full-bodied, mineral-driven mezcal.

Arroqueno is one of the great wild agave varietals of Oaxaca, with the long maturation cycle and the plant’s sheer size producing dense, complex distillate. La Medida’s collaboration across multiple producer communities and varietals gives access to wild expressions like this through traditional small-batch artisanal production methods.
